2011 Summer Event

Presented by Estara Integrative Programs
and Sofia Chavez Frederick

In collaboration with Dr. Arturo Ornelas Lizardi, Director of El Centro de Desarrolo Humano hacia la Comunidad (CEDEHC) in Cuernavaca, Mexico

Traditional Mexican Healers will be working with Colorado Holistic Health Practitioners offering presentations and demonstrations on the Curanderismo perspective regarding health, illness, prevention and treatment. Presentations are offered to health care professionals, community agencies and community members.

The Dance of the Flower Medicine is an opportunity for community to reconnect/connect with the indigenous practices of Curanderismo and traditional southwestern medicines.

This medicine is not defined by state lines, country border or categories but is an ancient health model that is as fluid as the Ancestral Love that flows throughout the universe.

Throughout the year Curanderas(os) from Cuernavaca Mexico are brought to Denver to share their medicine with the community. Presentations and demonstrations discuss health from the Curanderismo perspective regarding illness, causes, symptoms, prevention and treatment. Healing modalities include Meso American Sobadas (massage), herbal remedies, sound & healing, laugh therapy and more.

Open to the Public

Wednesday, August 3rd from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Estara, 1385 Carr St., Lakewood, CO. The Curanderos/as will be joining the monthly Ancient Rituals and Healing Circle at Estara. As always please bring a small snack to share and a love offering.

Please see the Details tab for the complete schedule of events for this summer event.
